NYC THROUGH THE EYES OF JOSEPH

ABOUT JOSEPH

Dedicated to perseverance, a young Joseph once stated, “I have never appreciated life as much as I do now, having gone through homelessness.”

Joseph left his home in Albany, NY in order to live out his dream of becoming a celebrity barber in NYC in 2013.  After going through hard times, as well as being unable to pay his monthly rent, Joseph had no choice, but to turn to the streets. Unwilling to accept help from his family, Joseph spent his nights on the cold floors of Penn Station.

In January 2015, Joseph accepted housing and case management services from BRC Transit Homeless Outreach.  Joseph’s creative soul emerged in his photographic images of NYC. At this time, Joseph is working on getting back into college and is excited about reintegrating into society.
